Artist Biography
Jennifer Donohoe Killby has lived most of her life in Ohio and currently resides in a small town on a farm. She has enjoyed art since early childhood. She often sought out magazines, tore the pages out then started writing stories from the pictures. This turned into a love affair with creating her own art. As a trained photographer and Photoshop user, she adapted her skills and developed them further to include working with 3D artistry. Now, she uses the combination of her own photos and 3D models to create art. This combination has given Jennifer the freedom to use models, environments, and clothing that may not have been possible otherwise. She continues to learn and grow in her artwork to develop her style even further. Jennifer’s artwork has also been recognized several times by Renderosity through the weekly featured staff picks, Renderosity contests and included in the magazine, Living The Photo Artistic Life. She is currently teaching Advanced Daz Studio Art for those who wish to learn to do the same thing.
Artist Statement
Jennifer Donohoe Killby is known for her unique method of combining 3D art models with her own photography. “I chose this method of artwork due to the expense of hiring models, placing them in precarious situations or clothing, then finding that perfect location to do the photoshoot. 3D art has opened many more doors for me to explore my artwork and create images that wouldn’t have been possible before.” Although photography had always been at the forefront of her creative life, it is now part of something different and special. This molding of photographs and 3D images has produced artwork that is very much her own.
