Fusion Art is pleased to share the 129th Toronto International Salon of Photography Competition.
The Toronto Camera Club Salon is the 2nd oldest photography competition in the world and the oldest in the Americas.
The 2021 competition awarded 90 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals as well as 142 Honorable Mentions. The competition received submissions from 434 photographers from 58 countries around the world. 1,199 images were accepted into the Salon from the 4,796 images submitted.
The deadline to enter the 2022 competition is November 5, 2022.
For more information and the competition prospectus, visit the website here: https://salon.torontocameraclub.com.
If you select the Archive Tab you will be able to see the winners in the various competition categories/divisions going back to 2013.
In addition, Fusion Art is honored to announce that we have been asked to be part of an outside online jury for the Toronto Camera Club’s Creative/Altered Reality Members Only competition in March 2023.
According to the Creative/Altered Reality Competition Chair, Gareth Jones, “This is our 2nd year using “non-photographic” judges, i.e., people who haven’t necessarily completed judges training within the Canadian Association of Photographic Arts (CAPA) or the Ontario Council of Camera Clubs (O3C).”
Previous galleries that served as judges include Toronto based Bau-Xi Gallery, the Stephen Bulger Gallery and the Olga Korper Gallery.
“As for the competition itself, the images are very wide ranging from In-Camera effects to composites to bold abstracts and statement work.”
Again we are honored to have been asked to be part of the jury for this competition – which is a competition that “is not Nature, nor is it Pictorial or a themed competition – it’s really almost-anything goes.”
Many thanks to Gareth for reaching out and including us. To see what competitions Fusion Art is currently accepting entries for, please visit our Call for Artists.
