Born & raised in New England, Valerie began her professional career at the local CBS affiliate in Providence, RI. Upon graduating from Stonehill College with a degree in Business Management, she was offered a job in the Sales/Marketing department. However, filmmaking had always been her passion, so in less than a year, she moved to Los Angeles to try her hand in the film industry.
In her more than nineteen years in the industry, Valerie worked on both studio and independent features. Her numerous film credits include Jeepers Creepers, starring Justin Long and Eileen Brennan; Get Carter, starring Sylvester Stallone, Michael Caine and Miranda Richardson; 3000 Miles to Graceland, starring Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell and Courteney Cox, and the two-time Academy Award Winning film Precious....Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire.
She also Co-Produced the critically acclaimed films, The Woodsman, starring Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgewick, Benjamin Bratt and Mos Def; Shadowboxer, starring Cuba Gooding, Jr., Helen Mirren and Stephen Dorff; Tennessee, starring Mariah Carey, James D’Arcy, and Ethan Peck (grandson of Gregory Peck); and Lee Daniels’ The Butler, starring Forrest Whittaker, Oprah Winfrey, Vanessa Redgrave, Alan Rickman and Robin Williams.
After retiring from the film industry in 2015, Valerie co-founded Fusion Art with her husband, Chris, to identify talented artists and help them to successfully market their works to the art world.
With art and storytelling in her blood, Valerie is currently working on her first novel, "The BloodStone Legacy". She currently lives in New Mexico with her husband Chris.
