“I have found in my still-life work that I seem to be able to tell what objects are important to me by what tends to stay in the painting as it develops.” ~ Richard Diebenkorn
Fusion Art invites submissions for its 21st Quarterly Art Competition – the 3rd Annual Still Life Online Art Competition.
For this art competition, 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are encouraged to submit their best work depicting an arrangement of everyday inanimate objects. The still life works can be traditional or contemporary in nature, with the content exhibiting everyday objects which are natural (e.g., food, flowers, plants, rocks, shells, etc.) or which are manufactured (e.g., bottles, glasses, pottery, books, jewelry, coins, pipes, etc.).
The subjects of the art can range from a single object to a complex arrangement of objects. The work can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction and all artists, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best representational or abstract art and photography.
Here is a link to the 2nd Still Life Art Exhibition in order to help artists see what type of art was accepted in the past.
A three-month group online exhibition will be featured on the Fusion Art website starting June 15, 2022.
All competitions include awards in three categories - "Traditional" Art, "Digital & Photography" and 3-Dimensional Art (if the gallery receives 3D entries). Best in Show and 2nd through 5th Place awards will be given. The Best in Show winners will receive a one-year complimentary membership to Fusion Art's Featured Artist Members Gallery, as long as they meet the eligibility listed HERE. In addition, Best in Show winners receive an invitation to Fusion Art's Annual Group Show in Santa Fe, NM in 2023.
Depending on the number and quality of all submissions received, Honorable Mention and/or Special Recognition awards may also be given. Please see further information below under the Awards section.
