Artist Biography
Carina Imbrogno is a disabled self-taught, award-winning and now inspirational artist. She has had many miracles and feels that she is being guided by God in her life. She believes she is alive to tell her story, share her art with the world and inspire others like her. Carina feels and believes that this is her purpose here on earth and it has become her life mission.
Carina was born with Elhers Danlos Syndrome, a rare disease that caused her spine to collapse twice. She has endured over 10 operations since the age of 10 – both back and abdominal. She has two rods and 26 screws holding her spine but she doesn’t let that hold her back.
Carina loves to draw and paint nature, animals, pets, wildlife, people, animals, kids, landscapes and architectural pieces in mediums such as oils, acrylics, gouache, graphite, charcoal and colored pencils.
Artist Statement
I enjoy realism in many mediums. My medium of choice for the past three years has been pastels. I enjoy drawing people, children, animals, such and wild life and pets. I also enjoy drawing nature and now recently landscapes.
